August Favourites

Hey everybody! I would just like to say that I am so sorry for not posting in over 3 weeks! I was on holiday a couple of weeks ago, and when I came back and I just didn't know what to post. But now I have a whole list of posts that I would like to treat you to, including a few Back To School ones!

So, as Summer is rapidly coming to an end, I thought I'd do an August Favourites to show you what I have been really enjoying throughout this month.

Enjoy!

My Favourite Book Quotes

Hi you guys!

Today I'm in a bit of a rush because I have to pack for my holiday (which is tomorrow... oops), so I thought I'd do a short -but cute- little post that I saw online: My favourite book quotes!

Now, I'm sure a lot of you are aware of my (very unhealthy) obsession with Harry Potter, so as you have probably guessed, most of these quotes are from Harry Potter. Yeah... sorry about that! J.K. Rowling just wrote the best quotes for the characters, especially wise old Dumbledore, and I couldn't resist adding a few of them in this post.

Review: Holly Bourne's Books

Hello and welcome to the 4th day of my week long book collaboration with SimplyLaurenElizabeth!

As this is supposed to be a book related post, I thought I'd chat about 3 books that I own, in which are all written by one of my favourite authors: Holly Bourne. There are two new books of hers that I haven't yet got my hands on, but they are at the very top of my TBR list! So, today I am going to be chatting about Soulmates, The Manifesto On How To Be Interesting and Am I Normal Yet? Each of these books are equally brilliant and cover lots of important topics that people need to be more aware of, such as mental health.

I love reading Holly Bourne's books for a number of reasons; as mentioned above, she makes her audience more aware of mental health and the effect it has on the victims that have to battle with it on a daily basis. The main characters in the books listed above each suffer with a different type of anxiety; I must admit, after reading them, I felt so much more aware of what some people suffer with and the impact it has on them. I gained a greater understanding of the world around me, and it reminded me to never judge a book by it's cover because you never know what that person's story is.

The Ultimate Harry Potter Tag

Heyyy everybody!

If you have read any of my previous posts, you will have discovered that I am extremely and undeniably obsessed with Harry Potter. And, as this week I am writing posts that are in relation to books, I thought that I would do the Ultimate Harry Potter Tag! (and I just really reallyyyy wanted to do it... okay?)

Feel free to answer these questions in the comment section below; I will be more than happy to read through your answers! Enjoy!♥

1) Favourite book?
Hmmm... this is such a tough question for me. I love all the books so much and have never really had to choose between them. But, as this is the Ultimate Harry Potter Tag and I'm supposed to answer every question properly, I will have to say the Order of the Phoenix, because it is the longest and was jam packed with so many details that tied loose ends and answered loads of questions. (Even though Umbridge was a main character in that book and I absolutely despise that cat freak)

August: To be read

WARNING: I'm watching Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows at this precise second, so if I randomly start fangirling about certain scenes, then you know why. Thank you.

Hello people of the internet! As some of you may know, yesterday I posted my July Book Wrap Up, so I thought it was only right for me to post an August TBR next. And yes, in the picture you may have noticed the new Harry Potter book, the Cursed Child *internally screams and runs around in happiness*. So, in this post I'm going to be showing you the books that I'm planning on reading this month, and I'll include a little synopsis for each one :) Enjoy!

July Book Wrap Up

Hey everybody!

As it's the summer holiday and I'm not doing much over the next week, I thought I'd do a post everyday up until Saturday, all related to books. I got this idea from my best friend (SimplyLaurenElizabeth- visit her blog, it's gorgeous!) and we decided to both do this for a bit of a challenge and also for a bit of fun.

July was quite a relaxed month for me, in terms of reading; I read around six books, and pretty much all of which were ones I had already read before. To be completely honest, I didn't really have any new books to read (yes- I am in serious need of a huge book haul), but when I went to Waterstones to buy some new books, I just couldn't decide what to get! I am always so indecisive, haha. So, if you have any suggestions as to which books I should read this summer, then please comment down below! :)

Here are the books that I have read (any thoroughly enjoyed) this month...

Top Highstreet Picks

Heyyyy everybody!

There are many things that I love and have a guilty pleasure for, and makeup is definitely one of them. Take me to Boots or Superdrug, and you will never come out! Okay, maybe that's a slight exaggeration, but I could spend hours in a makeup store and I always leave with at least one hand covered in lipstick swatches.

So, as a result of my (slight) obsession with makeup, today I thought I'd talk you through my favourite drugstore makeup items, because I know that a lot of people like to discover new makeup which is very affordable, but still reaches the standard of high-end products.
